A Mother's Love

This is a true story of Mother’ s Sacrifice during the Japan Earthquake. After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. 

The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head. With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure. He and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his had through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement,” A child! There is a child! “ The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. 

There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’ s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up. The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said ,” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body that read the message wept. ” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” Such is the mother’ s love for her child!! Dont forget to click the share button..

Tuhanku Yang Maha Penyayang,

Aku sering disedihkan justru oleh orang yang kukasihi dan dikecewakan oleh orang yang kupercayai.

Tapi, sesungguhnya aku mengerti, bahwa jika aku lebih patuh kepada-Mu, dan memelihara diriku lebih dekat dengan kebaikan, Engkau akan menyelamatkanku dari sakit hati yang tak perlu, dan dari kekecewaan yang tak perlu.

Tuhanku, aku mohon …

Jika memang aku harus sakit hati, sakitkanlah hatiku untuk menegaskanku mengakhiri yang tak baik bagiku, dan kecewakanlah aku untuk menjauhkan diriku dari orang palsu yang hanya memperdayaku.

Proses Menjadi Cantik

Aku sedang menjalani perawatan kulit tingkat intensif nih bloggers..Tujuannya untuk memperbaiki diri physically dulu supaya rasa percaya diriku balik lagi.  Belakangan ini, memang wajahku menjadi kurang menarik dikarenakan jerawat yang membandel di wajahku.  Bukan hanya satu atau dua, tapi ini semua hampir menutupi semua kulit wajahku! hiks..kadar kecantikanku menjadi berkurang, dan otomatis rasa percaya diriku juga dipengaruhi oleh faktor luar ini.  

Kuputuskan untuk pergi mengunjungi dokter spesialis kulit yang bagus menurut rekomendasi temanku.  biaya konsultasi sih memang tidak mahal, hanya Rp. 66.000 saja, tapi yang bikin kaget adalah harga obatnya yang bisa mencapai Rp. 200.000 lebih sekali datang! wuahh..belum lagi soal diet ketat yang disarankan oleh dokternya agar aku tidak mengkonsumsi makanan berlemak seperti kacang-kacangan, mentega, susu, telur ayam negeri, ayam negeri, coklat, roti, dst bahkan hingga kue lebaran! ohh..tidak!  Semua itu adalah makanan yang aku suka bloggers..

Seminggu pertamaku tanpa makanan lemak membuatku lemas, dan hampir membuatku pingsan hingga akhirnya aku putuskan untuk melanggar diet itu dengan memakan makanan yang berlemak setiap akhir minggu saja.  Selama weekend aku bebaskan diriku untuk menghajar semua makanan pantangan tersebut, seperti gorengan, keju, coklat dan sebagainya.  Lumayan, badan seperti terisi tenaga lagi, bayangkan jika aku tidak mendapatkan asupan lemak sama sekali, aku bisa ambruk!

Akhirnya, sekarang setiap belanja mingguan aku selalu membeli telur ayam kampung, dan juga susu kedelai pengganti susu dan telur yang harus aku konsumsi setiap hari.  Padahal, targetku selanjutnya adalah program penggemukkan badan setelah puasa kemarin aku sempat kehilangan berat badan sebanyak 2kg. 

Merapikan Tempat Tidur

Bangun tidur kuterus..beresin tempat tidur hehehe..anakku sedang merapikan tempat tidurnya sendiri setelah bangun tidur.  Hebatkan! Membiasakan anak mempunyai kebiasaan baik itu tidak mudah.  Terkadang disiplinnya masih harus terus diingatkan oleh kita orang tuanya.  Meskipun aku sudah memberi contoh padanya untuk menaruh pakaian kotornya di keranjang cucian khusus pakaian kotor, tetap saja dia masih suka membuka pakaiannya di mana-mana huff..tapi, ya kembali lagi pada kita orang tuanya yang tidak boleh lengah mengingatkannya untuk selalu menjaga kerapihan kamar, juga rumahnya.  Tidak apa-apa jika ia lalai sekali-sekali tapi terus ingatkan, ingatkan dan ingatkan lagi sampai dia terbiasa..

Allah is The Greatest

Stand before your Lord with humility, implore the Dispenser of Grace by His Most Beautiful Names and Attributes of perfection. If He fulfills your wish, increase in your gratitude and servitude to Him. If He denies your request, then succumb to the Divine Decree of the All-Wise with a submissive heart. Do not argue or object to His will. Always remember:

Woman

A woman is like a precious pearl only to be touched or revealed to a select few (mahrams). As Muslims we respect women so much that as non-mahrams we don't shake the hands of women, not out of rudeness but out of our deepest respect for this precious jewel that we do not have a right to touch.

A Healthy Relationship

Grilled Steak

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 pounds tri-tip or sirloin steak, cut into 4 pieces


• kosher salt and black pepper


• 1 fennel bulb, cut into 1/4-inch-thick wedges


• 1 tablespoon olive oil


• 1 lemon, thinly sliced


• 1 tablespoon fresh thyme


• 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced

Directions

1. Heat grill to medium-high.


2. Season the steak with ¾ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. Grill to the desired doneness, 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare.


3. Meanwhile, in a bowl, gently toss the fennel, oil, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper.


4. Grill the fennel, turning occasionally, until just tender, 5 to 6 minutes. Transfer back to the bowl.


5. Grill the lemon slices until slightly charred, 1 to 2 minutes per side. Toss the lemons with the fennel and thyme. Serve with the steak and mozzarella.

Gingery Salmon With Peaches

 Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar


• 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger


• 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves


• 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil


• kosher salt and pepper


• 2 medium red onions, cut into wedges


• 3 peaches, cut into wedges


• 4 6-ounce salmon steaks (about 1 inch thick)

Directions

1. Heat grill to medium-high. In a small bowl, combine the vinegar, ginger, thyme, 3 tablespoons of the oil, and ¼ teaspoon each salt and pepper. Set aside.


2. In a large bowl, gently toss the onions, peaches, remaining 1 tablespoon oil, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper.


3. Season the salmon with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper.


4. Grill the salmon and onions until salmon is opaque throughout and onions are tender, 5 to 6 minutes per side.


5. After flipping the salmon, place the peaches on the grill and cook until tender, 3 to 4 minutes per side.


6. Drizzle the salmon with the vinaigrette and serve with the onions and peaches.

Hati Yang Lembut

Spaghetti With Zucchini, Walnuts, and Raisins

 Ingredients

• 12 ounces spaghetti (3⁄4 box)


• 3 tablespoons olive oil


• 1/2 cup walnut halves, roughly chopped


• 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced


• 1 1/2 pounds small zucchini (4 to 5), cut into thin half-moons


• 3/4 cup raisins


• kosher salt and black pepper


• 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (1 ounce)

Directions

1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and return it to the pot.


2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the walnuts and cook, stirring frequently, until beginning to brown, 3 to 4 minutes.


3. Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until beginning to brown, about 1 minute.


4. Add the zucchini and raisins and season with ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Cook, tossing occasionally, until the zucchini is just tender, 4 to 5 minutes.


5. Add the zucchini mixture to the pasta and toss to combine. Sprinkle with the Parmesan before serving.
